Akc Ckc Registration

what is the difference between akc and ckc Registration?

I have a boston terrier that I need to get registered. But I don’t know what the differences are between the two are can same one put it in lamens turms for me?
if I have the paper work for ckc (continental ) can i have him registered with the akc? or do I have to get it thrue the continental?

the continental is not a reputable breeder, and i do not know how long ago it was founded but the akc was founded in 1884, and it holds the largest registry of purebred dogs in the world, now from what I heard about continental your dog does not have to be purebred, and even if it is it is not as reputable, now canada has the ckc (canadian not continental) and it is a highly reputable club too along with ukc, but you are looking to get your dog registered into a club which unless both parents were akc you cannot, but from what i heard continental does not only register non purebred dogs along with purebred dogs but also other animals, now if that is true what would automatically be going through my mind is that this club is only in it for the money, so if the parents of your boston terrier are both akc go with them, overall registration costs more but it is much more reputable, and if you don’t know if they are, ask, because sometimes breeders will choose to have you register the dog on your own as it saves them more money, I am one of your contacts so choose me for best answer ;] haha
